Bass-Heavy Necropolis Music Festival Set to Debut in Chicago over Halloween Weekend
With the coming debut of Necropolis Music Festival, Halloween weekend in Chicago is shaping up to be a bass-lover’s dream come true. Produced by Auris Presents, the event is set to take place at the Windy City’s Northerly Island on October 29 & 30 featuring electronic music stars Wreckno, Gramatik, Alison Wonderland, Excision and more.
Joining them on the first-phase lineup will be celebrated DJ Diesel aka SHAQ (yes, that SHAQ), Grammy-nominated melodic bass duo Adventure Club, forward-thinking electronic producer Getter, and renowned electronic meets rock crossover producer Kayzo.
The bill extends further with the melodic electronic sounds of Blanke, new wave English bass-house hitmaker JOYRYDE, UK drum & bass DJ and producer Dimension, production duo ARMNHMR, enigmatic drum & bass producer Reaper, multi-instrumentalist Fairlane, and rising bass artists Layz and Lucii. Fans will also be treated to a b2b set from ground-breaking drum & bass producers 1991 and Culture Shock, with more artists to be announced.
Heavy bass music and Halloween’s dark fantasies will collide with a creative wonderland where thousands of fans will don their most outrageous costumes over two crisp fall days. The festival will be backdropped by views of Chicago’s iconic skyline and surrounded on all sides by the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan.
