Gainesville hosts the inaugural BASH Festival

Blues, Americana, Soul, and Heritage will all be on display the weekend of November 4-6 in Gainesville, Florida, at The BASH Music Festival. The free festival, a follow-up to a previous Tom Petty festival, will be held at Depot Park. It’s a great group of headliners, including Mavis Staples, Drive-By Truckers, Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant, and Lilly Hiatt, along with a number of regional bands. That’s a total of 38 acts, playing on two outdoor stages and a patio stage at the Cade Museum next door to the Park.

While the festival is free, the organizers would like everyone attending to register for a ticket for planning purposes. Additionally, there are VIP passes and special packages available to purchase. Funds go to sustain the festival and also to several local charities that support music, including the Arts in Medicine program at the University of Florida.
