Occasional actor and full-time artist, Jim Carrey, has debuted his second major NFT creation on SuperRare, taking to the ether with a many faceted, multimedia showpiece titled ‘Goon in the Moonlight’.
For his second outing, monsieur Carrey has followed a darker narrative than his previous offer, represented by a deformed creature as it lurks in the darkness shunning even the pale white moonlight. All the while, the artist recites a poem of lost loves and opportunities as the ‘goon’ seeks solitude in the shadows.
The splendid item showcases Jim’s command of a number of artistic disciplines, highlighting his control of the traditional painted medium, while bringing it to life through he wonders of digital animation. Then capping it all off by demonstrating his supreme skills as a highly emotive poet.
In the unavoidable romance of moonlight the Goon is doomed to recoil from memories of lost loves and the agony of regret that can transform any one of us into something loathsome in our own mind.

Goon in the Moonlight is up for auction on the revered SuperRare platform right now, with a minimum bid of 29.6 ETH. About the same price as a Tiffany & Co. CryptoPunks pendant that almost nobody will wear. Therefore, bidders have until 7pm UTC on August 11 to declare their interest.
Jim’s previous outing made bank when ‘Sunshower’ changed hands for a massive 64.04 ETH. So, let’s see how this latest grand NFT auction will unfold.
