National Lampoon Teams Up with Non-Fungible Films for NFT Collections

0

After making its mark with its initial magazine run and iconic films like Animal House, National Lampoon has announced its foray into the Web3 space. This will be done via a partnership with Non-Fungible Films, which announced this via a statement to the Hollywood Reported.

As per the statement, the two will be releasing NFTs and other Web3-focused projects that leverage National Lampoon’s wealth of intellectual property. The first of these will be NFTs that are “a collection of commemorative art” and will only be made available to users who have an “executive producer” pass with Non-Fungible Films.

Legacy NFTs

Given the decades of material that National Lampoon has access to, along with its cultural capital, the incoming NFT collections will have a lot to work with. This is especially relevant given that its first collection will be ‘commemorative’ in nature.

As Cameron Moulène, the CEO and Founder of NFF, explained regarding the announcement, “National Lampoon represents a zeitgeist of counter-culture and rebellion through freedom of speech and thought-provoking art which makes it a perfect brand to find an exciting resurgence in Web3.”

Moulène also added that while National Lampoon was a massive cultural influence decades before with its creative output, this partnership will help bring its voice to a new generation of tech-forward people.

While no other details have been made public about the partnership, more announcements are expected regarding its incoming projects.
