Excellence is the order of the day as the Octo line celebrates its 10th anniversary! The manufacturer introduces a rose gold version of one of its record-breaking models.
With its remarkably designed case, the Octo Finissimo collection firmly establishes itself in the watchmaking landscape as a reference in terms of elegant lines. Indeed, the numerous records achieved by the models in the Octo Finissimo collection in the extra-flat segment underline Bulgari’s ability to develop exceptional movements. The Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic in titanium unveiled in 2019 boasts a record thickness of 6.90mm achieved through the presence of a caliber of only 3.30mm high, the BVL 318. This year, the same movement is built into the version presented during the Geneva Watch Days, held from August 29 to September 1. This rendition stands out thanks to its case machined in pink gold. Use of this metal increases the height of the case by 1.85mm while improving the water resistance, which is now guaranteed to a depth of 100 meters compared to 30 meters previously. In addition, it accentuates the refined personality of the timepiece.
The lacquered dial, illuminated by its sunburst finish, is in a brown color that appropriately complements the warm tones of the precious alloy. All the information on the top is arranged in such a way as to offer optimal readability. The measured times are indicated by the sweep second hand and the 30-minute counter at 6 o’clock. The second time zone is displayed in the 24-hour graduated counter positioned at 3 o’clock. The addition of a brown alligator leather wristband closed with a pin buckle completes the timepiece. With this finery, the Roman firm has us even more enthusiastic about the Octo Finissimo references.
