It is with complete freedom and without any prudishness that this pink gold timepiece exposes on its diamond-covered face the main elements that make its mechanical heart beat.

A direct descendant of the “simple” or tact subscription watch invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) to facilitate the mass production, marketing and democratization of his timepieces previously reserved for the elite, the Tradition collection uses the same dial configuration as that proposed by the great watchmaking genius over two centuries ago. The main elements of the mechanical movement are displayed on the visible part of the watch, as shown by the Tradition 7035 model.

Fitted with a 37mm-diameter pink gold case with a diamond-set bezel, this timepiece, produced in only 88 pieces, is driven by the 505J automatic caliber, which delivers a 50-hour power reserve. The face of the watch shows off the plate and bridges covered with diamonds set using the snow-setting technique, as well as the large central barrel engraved with a corolla. This architecture, as symmetrical as it is dazzling, houses a white mother-of-pearl ring marked with Breguet Arabic numerals around 12 o’clock. This ring encircles the hours and minutes, which are indicated by a pair of small Breguet hands in pink gold with a hollowed out apple. A retrograde second appears at 10 o’clock, hemmed with a gradation of rubies and pink sapphires of different diameters. The case back has a sapphire crystal window, and when you gently turn the Tradition 7035 over, you can admire the dance of its gold oscillating weight engraved with a floral motif.
