Back in the early ’80s, a young man by the name of Bob Terzuola joined the Knifemakers’ Guild. Shortly thereafter, he scored a gig that would change his life forever: making fixed-blade knives for CIA operatives and soldiers in Guatemala. In the years since, Terzuola has been a name practically synonymous with tactical and folding knives (he literally wrote the book on the subject and even coined the term “tactical knife”), earning him a well-earned place among the greatest knifemakers and designers of all time.
Finally, in 2023, Terzuola was granted another honor: induction into Blade Magazine’s Cutlery Hall of Fame alongside Steve Schwarzer and Devin “Hoss” Thomas. But if you thought this longtime knifemaker’s career was over, you’d be wrong. In fact, he’s still designing knives to this day — and they’re up to the same high standard he’s always held.
