The Armory Show

The Armory Show at the Piers in New York celebrated its 25th Anniversary by producing one of the best Art Fairs ever.  Traditionally the Fair covered Piers 94 and 92.  This year, due to the city’s advice that Pier 92 was too weak to hold the throng, the Fair added Pier 90, which displayed art in a more spacious setting.

Pommery hosted an anniversary champagne party one hour prior to the official preview opening on March 6th, followed by four days of viewing to the public.  A plethora of private visits to collectors homes, artists’ studios, tours and lectures filled out a full schedule daily, from Mar. 6-10.

198 exhibitors from 33 countries exhibited an exciting presentation of modern and contemporary art.
